description The development of emerging fluorinated groups is an active field of research in recent years. In particular, the fusion of fluorinated moieties with chalcogens has attracted considerable interest. This has led to a strong demand for the development of new efficient reagents to perform various direct trifluoromethylchalcogenations. Herein, we present an overview of the results obtained in our laboratory in Lyon, which has actively contributed to this quest during the last 15 years.
