| Summary: | The present article seeks to understand how a newspaper of regional circulation – the Zero Hora newspaper –, discursively constructs the image of the Haitian and Senegalese immigrants, who started to arrive in the Rio Grande do Sul state in 2014 and 2015. Based on the analysis of three ZH Specials, it was verified that the newspaper establishes diverse discursive constructions concerning these individuals, calling attention to speeches permeated by an ethnic-racial grammar and regarding its relations on the labor market. |
