Semi-structured interviews were conducted and analysed using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) methodology. Findings indicated that clients considered music selection challenging, it strengthened their connection with the coach, that different responses can be experienced, and that, left with the choice of how to use music, coaches’ approaches varied
