description One of the modern solutions to reduce pollution is the production of electricity from renewable sources such as solar energy using photovoltaic panels. Photovoltaic panels convert sunlight into electricity. To characterize a photovoltaic system, its real characteristics must be known. It is also desirable to test the photovoltaic panels after a period of time after installation in order to determine the evolution of the characteristics of the photovoltaic panel over time. This paper presents a system for the automatic determination of the power characteristics of a photovoltaic panel, thus being able to determine the maximum power point.
