Summary: | Abstract Research into the utilisation of Real-time kinematic (RTK) location data presents a substantial opportunity for the expedient updating of geographic information and the advancement of location-based applications. As a consequence of the inability to accurately capture areas where geographic information has undergone alteration, traditional geographic information data updates are typically conducted at five- to ten-year intervals for the entire domain. In this paper, the RTK user spatial active index was established using the Hunan Continuously Operating Reference Stations Real-time kinematic (HNCORS RTK) location big data from 2016 to 2018. Subsequently, the correlation between the RTK user spatial active index and the remote sensing change patch data of Hunan Province was analysed using the remote sensing image change patch data as the validation data. An index for updating geographic information was constructed for Hunan Province. The results demonstrate a strong correlation between the HNCORS RTK user spatial activity index and remote sensing image change patches, with a correlation coefficient ranging from 0.8 to 0.9. This finding provides a valuable reference for government departments in updating geographic information. |
