On the basis of Abraham’s demonstration of faith, the article highlights the importance granted by Johannes de Silentio to passion as the foundation that precedes and constitutes the ultimate faith: that which arises only in the face of the absurd, but which, once attained, reveals itself as a possibility of escaping from the desperation of existence and of giving meaning to human life. |
