| Summary: | The quality of asphalt utilized in road construction plays a critical role in ensuring the durability and safety of roads. In Uganda’s Kigezi region, frequent road failures have raised concerns regarding the quality of asphalt being used. This study evaluated the asphalt produced for road construction in the Kigezi region, aiming to identify areas for potential improvement. Chapter One provides an introduction that includes the background, problem statement, research objectives, and the scope of the study. Chapter Two offers a review of various literature related to the geographical location of Kigezi, asphalt quality, and road construction practices. Chapter Three details the methods and materials employed in the research, showing the procedures used to conduct experiments. The last chapters also presented the results, findings, interpretation, conclusions, and recommendations derived from the study. |
